JASRS bylaws stipulate as follows.
(1) Full Members
Qualification:
Full Members shall be those scholars who
are interested in the relationship between
religion and society & culture.
Admission:
Qualified applicants may be admitted as Full
Members after their applications are reviewed
by the JASRS Board of Directors.
Activities:
Full Members can participate in the annual
meeting, the general meeting, and projects,
and also make proposals for projects.
(2) Associate Members
Admission:
Those individuals who are interested in the
activities of JASRS may be admitted as Associate
Members after their applications are reviewed
by the JASRS Board of Directors.
Activities:
Associate Members can sit in on the annual
meeting and participate in or sit in on some
of the projects.
As regards the qualification of being a 'scholar',
there is a regulation that stipulates that
this shall be judged according to the following
guidelines:
(1) Those who have published papers related
to the objectives of JASRS and are engaged
in academic pursuit.
(2) Graduate students of domains related
to the objectives of JASRS.
Full Member 6,000 Yen
Student Member (graduate/undergraduate student)
4,000 Yen
Associate Member 5,000 Yen
To apply for membership, inform JASRS headquarter
of the following information by mail or facsimile,
or print, anf fill out a membership application
form and send it, after filling it out, to
the secretariat by mail or facsimile. (It
is not necessary to use the membership application
form.)
All applications are reviewed by the JASRS
Board of Directors.
